Fall and Spring Elections

SGA holds elections twice a year to elect/reelect members into office. Fall elections are held in the first month of the school year to fill freshmen class offices as well as any other open offices. In the spring elections are held for all SGA offices. Members already on council must renew their terms through re-election. Students that wish to run in an election must first fill out a nomination packet in order to appear on the ballot. More information can be found in the SGA By-Laws. Presidential Appointment

In between election periods, interested students may write a letter to the SGA President showing interest in joining SGA. The SGA President may at his discretion appoint interested parties to SGA. How do I Join SGA?

If it is currently an election period, you may check-out a nomination packet at the SGA office. Returning a completed packet will ensure your name on the election ballot. Otherwise you may submit a letter to the SGA President regarding your interest of joining SGA. The president may then have the option of appointing you onto council.
